In Their Own Words

“From a very young age I’ve had an interest in computers and science. I wanted to pursue a career that allowed independence and collaboration. Electrical engineering, and specifically engineering consulting, has allowed me the flexibility I sought. I love that PerryCrabb encourages and supports ongoing technical education and training for my field. This helps me to continue to be a reliable source of advice for my clients. I enjoy helping them solve their problems.”

Karl has a total of 11 years of electrical engineering experience, the last six of which have been with PerryCrabb. His experience includes electrical design for commercial developments, data cabling design and engineering for the healthcare industry. He currently serves as a Project Manager and specializes in overall electrical design, energy efficient lighting and controls and mentors more junior engineers.

He is a certified Professional Engineer (PE) in Georgia and is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP). Karl is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) and graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering. Karl also has published technical articles on engineering in hospital design, equipotential grounding and utility rate options.

On a Personal Note:

Karl, originally from Covington, Georgia, now resides in Lawrenceville, Georgia with his wife of six years. He enjoys reading, jogging, traveling, photography, and being involved in his ministry.
